Birders are know to get up early, as morning is typically the best time of the day for birding since many birds are searching for food, which makes them easier to find and observe. Birders are keen to see if they have guessed right and certain birds will be there, but really they're just happy to see whatever comes their way.

Birders will take long trips specifically designed to catalog birds or help with conservation efforts. Some birders like to visit new places to discover birds they have never seen before, while others prefer only to cultivate a deep knowledge of the birds in their own back yard.

Being a birdwatcher is in actual fact a very rewarding hobby, it also gets you out in the fresh air, and allows you to meet new interesting people.
